WHO IS SWIFT
Swift Mastering is led by Alex Balzama, Head of Mastering & QC at Press
On Vinyl. Established in 2005 and operating from within the Press On
Vinyl facility in Teesside, Swift brings two decades of mastering
experience to projects where the standards are high and the margin for
error is not.
Alex’s role within the UK’s vinyl production chain gives Swift clients
something rare in independent mastering: a single point of trusted
judgment from the final mix through to the moment the record is approved
for pressing.
THE ROOM
The Swift mastering room was designed under the supervision of Mark
Russell of Recording Rooms, acoustically treated and precisely
monitored, built for one purpose: critical listening at the highest
level.
The room sits within the Press On Vinyl facility, operating inside an
active vinyl production environment where standards are not negotiable.
The monitoring and outboard are owned by Swift and selected by Alex,
chosen not for specification but for what they reveal. Every decision in
this room is made with the final pressing in mind.
